Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is undoubtedly one of the finest in his position.
The Brazilian was signed in 2017 by the club, one year after Pep Guardiola had arrived at the Etihad Stadium.
After a sub-par season from Claudio Bravo, Pep decided that he needed to make a change. He then went and dropped around £35 million to sign Ederson from Benfica – and it was a signing that really changed the game for City.
Pep wanted City to play out from the back, and he needed someone who was extremely comfortable on the ball, and someone with a great passing range.
City certainly found that individual in Ederson, and it has been a hugely successful stint at the club so far for the South American.
On Saturday, he made his fourth assist for the club against Brentford. This means he has now surpassed Manchester United winger Antony for assists in the Premier League.
And there has been some more talk regarding who is better out of him and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.
Ben Foster chooses Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson over rival Alisson

The Ederson vs Alisson debate has been rumbling on for some time now.
The pair are both right up there with the very best goalkeepers in the world, and are both integral to the way their teams play.
Alisson is the man with more caps for Brazil (71 vs 25 for Ederson) and some people look at that as being a decisive factor.
But there are certainly things that Ederson can do that Alisson cannot. Especially when it comes to the ball-playing side of things.
After Ben Foster had raved about Ederson for his assist against Brentford, the former Premier League goalkeeper was then asked who he would pick out of him and Alisson.
He said: “They’re different. This is the beauty of it. Ederson, there’s nobody who could do a better job for Man City. There’s nobody, I don’t think, who could do a better job for Liverpool than Alisson!
“I’ll go Ederson!”
Two of the best in PL history
City and Liverpool fans will no doubt back their own man in this debate.
The reality is that there is very little separating Ederson and Alisson. Both are great shot-stoppers (Alisson is marginally better) and both are great distributors (Ederson is slightly ahead).
What is probably not up for debate is the pair of them being among the best to ever grace the Premier League.
It is now time to talk about these two in the same category as the likes of Peter Schmeichel, Petr Cech, Edwin van der Sar and David de Gea.
They are both largely so consistent and each has helped their side to win trophies.
