Emile Heskey has said that he always knew Manchester City superstar Jack Grealish would become a world-class player one day.

Speaking to the FilthyFellas, the former Liverpool striker was quizzed about which youngster he played with and instantly tipped to reach the top.

Branded as ‘brilliant’ by Alex McLeish, the 27-year-old has done well for himself to say the least, winning two Premier League titles, a Champions League, an FA Cup and a treble.

Even at Aston Villa, the Englishman captained them to promotion, ensured they survived in the Premier League and stood out as one of the division’s best creators.

During his time at Villa, Emile Heskey trained with a young Jack Grealish and knew that he was set to hit incredible heights in his career.

“Jack used to come to us, play with us when he was 15. We used to try and boot him, couldn’t get near him. 15, 16”, he said.

It is no surprise to discover that Emile Heskey was as impressed as he was by a young Jack Grealish.

Ever since he was brought into the spotlight upon Aston Villa’s promotion to the Premier League, the decorated attacker instantly proved that he was technically excellent, a sensational ball-carrier and a showman.

Upon Villa’s return to the English top-flight in the 2019/2020 season as well, Grealish took to the league like a duck to water and was easily regarded as one of, if not the most entertaining player in the business.

While Jack Grealish had a difficult start to life at Manchester City, he has gone on to establish himself as a top player.

The talent was always clear as day and now the silky attacker is only fulfilling his potential.
