Reijnders is excited to join Manchester City and he could very well become a vital cog in their midfield for years to come.
Speaking to The Athletic FC, journalist David Ornstein revealed that “everybody” tells him that it was time for Reijnders to leave AC Milan and play Champions League football as he belongs at the highest level: “But everybody I speak to who knows him far better than me knows that it was time for him to go, despite signing a new contract not long ago because he’s a Champions League-level player and they’re not in the Champions League and they could do with the finances.”
“That looks like a shrewd addition.”
