The future of Kevin De Bruyne will become clear very soon.
The midfielder’s expiring contract at Man City will see him leave at the end of the season, and De Bruyne is keen to make a decision before the Manchester club travels to America this summer for the FIFA Club World Cup.
That is likely to come in the next month as several clubs are keen to bring the 33-year-old into their team, as the City superstar has shown in recent weeks that he can still perform at a high level, despite Ben Foster stating that De Bruyne is now too slow for the Premier League.
As the summer gets closer, more clubs are likely to emerge in the race for the midfielder and according to Fabrizio Romano, one in particular are believed to be obsessed with signing the Belgian star.

Chicago Fire have an obsession with Kevin De Bruyne
De Bruyne does not have an offer from Liverpool after it was reported this week that the Reds are keen to bring the Man City star to Anfield.
A clear destination has always been there for the 33-year-old as Chicago Fire have shown strong interest in De Bruyne for weeks, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the MLS outfit have an obsession with bringing the Premier League legend to America.
“From what I am hearing, Liverpool are not in negotiations with Kevin De Bruyne. Liverpool have not approached Kevin De Bruyne. Liverpool are not talking to Kevin De Bruyne,” Romano stated on his YouTube channel.
“De Bruyne is speaking to several clubs, I told you about the Chicago Fire, so there will be conversations with more clubs. Chicago Fire considers De Bruyne as an obsession. So let’s see if he decides to go.”
Wherever the midfielder goes, he will very likely be a success, with former Man City manager Peter Reid believing De Bruyne will be out to prove people wrong after not being offered a new deal by the Manchester club.
Kevin De Bruyne open to Napoli move
Micah Richards recently stated that Man City fans have told him that it is the right time for De Bruyne to leave Manchester after an incredible 10 years at the Etihad Stadium, with Pep Guardiola set to rebuild his squad this summer.
When it comes to the midfielder’s next club, many City fans will hope that the 33-year-old remains in Europe as it would be easier for them to watch their former hero and according to Sky Sports, that could be possible as it is being reported that the Belgian is opening up to a move to Napoli.
It is said that Napoli’s Sporting Director has already met De Bruyne in Manchester to understand what the Belgian star wants and is looking for, with the Man City captain now believed to be opening up to the move.
Moving to Naples would allow the 33-year-old to compete in a new league and the Champions League, while he would also join his good friend Romelu Lukaku, which is another reason why the midfielder could end up in Italy for the 2025/26 campaign.
