Haaland will be delighted with this praise from the youngster, especially with all the talk comparing the Man City star to Harry Kane this week, and the 24-year-old will be hoping that the American talent will be assisting him plenty of times in the future.

Pep Guardiola’s Cavan Sullivan plan

Man City signed Cavan Sullivan during the summer of 2024, who would then go on to become the youngest Major Soccer League player in history just weeks later.

As part of the 15-year-old’s development plan, the youngster has remained with the Philadelphia Union until he turns 18 in 2027, and will then move to the Premier League ahead of the 27/28 campaign.

It remains to be seen if Guardiola will remain at Man City for that long, however, the Spanish coach will have Sullivan training with the Manchester club this summer, which is currently a work in progress with Philadelphia Union.

This will allow Guardiola and City to have a look at Sullivan ahead of his 2027 move as the midfielder has only featured in three MLS games this season.

Man City fans will be excited to get a glimpse of the American throughout the summer as there is a lot of hype around the youngster being the next big thing in football.
