Diogo Jota has said that he would love to see Manchester City star Bernardo Silva play for Liverpool.
The recent international break saw numerous Premier League players featuring for their respective countries, including Jota, who featured in Portugal’s matches against Slovakia and Luxembourg.
With club football now back on track, the Liverpool attacker has named one of his international teammates as someone he’d love to play alongside at club level.
Jota wants Silva at Liverpool

Speaking in a recent interview with That’s Football, Jota had this to say when asked which of his Portuguese teammates he’d love to see playing for Liverpool.
He said: “Bernardo Silva for me. Probably one of the most, for sure, one of the most intelligent football guys I’ve known. The way he can hide the ball as well from the opponents is special I think, I’ll go for him.”
MORE MAN CITY STORIES
City signed Silva back in the 2017 summer transfer window from Monaco in a deal worth £43m. Since then, the 29-year-old has gone on to make 310 appearances for City across all competitions prior to this afternoon’s Premier League clash against West Ham United.

Across those 310 appearances, the Portuguese international has scored 55 goals and delivered 59 assists.
Bearing in mind how Pep Guardiola previously said that Silva is an intelligent player and one of the best he has ever coached, this backs up why Jota said his international teammate is one of the most intelligent players he has played alongside.
Thankfully for City, the treble winner signed a contract extension last month to keep him at the club until 2026.
Therefore, it seems unlikely that Silva will be joining Jota at Anfield anytime soon, much to the presumed delight of many City supporters.
