Mesut Ozil has named Ruben Dias, Rodri and Erling Haaland in his personal Champions League dream team for this season.

The retired midfielder tweeted his side where he picked the Manchester City trio amongst a sea of superstars.

Now, Mesut Ozil has singled Ruben Dias, Rodri and Erling Haaland in his Champions League ‘best XI’ for the 2023/2024 campaign.

Branded as an ‘amazing guy’ by Ilkay Gundogan, the Norwegian superstar, signed for £51 million (Sky Sports) is widely regarded as the best striker in the world.

The same can be said for Dias, who was brought in for £62 million (Sky Sports) and Rodri, who cost £62.8 million (Independent) who are considered by many as the standout players in their respective positions in the world.

Now, Mesut Ozil has named Ruben Dias, Rodri and Erling Haaland in his Champions League dream XI.

The Manchester City trident were picked alongside players like Manuel Neuer, Sergio Ramos, Antonio Rudiger, Eduardo Camavinga, Ivan Rakitic, Bukayo Saka, Leroy Sane and Kylian Mbappe.

The German legend was right to pick Ruben Dias, Rodri and Erling Haaland in his side, as they all have a case for being the best players in the world in their positions.

To add that to that, the trio have come off the back of a treble-winning season in which they were hugely important to Manchester City’s success.

While Erling Haaland’s goals speak for themselves, the perfect balance Rodri brings on and off the ball is unlike any other defensive midfielder on the globe and the same can be said for Ruben Dias, alongside John Stones.

As a result, it was a no-brainer that these three stalwarts made the cut for Ozil’s team.
