Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has continuously ignored Kalvin Phillips, but the midfielder has not given up on changing his opinion of him.
That is according to The Mirror.
So, what is the situation involving Kalvin Phillips, Manchester City and Pep Guardiola?
What’s the story?
Well, according to The Mirror, Kalvin Phillips has not made a decision on his future at Manchester City.
City manager Pep Guardiola simply does not seem to fancy the former Leeds United midfielder.
Guardiola is playing even Rico Lewis ahead of Phillips when Rodri is suspended.
Phillips has struggled to make a huge impact at City since his move from Leeds back in the summer of 2022.

However, according to The Mirror, the £160,000-a-week (SalarySport) midfielder has not given up on changing Guardiola’s view of him.
The report has claimed that “the England international remains determined to prove his worth at City and is confident he can make an impression if he is handed the chance to shine despite transfer links with Newcastle and Everton”.
Kalvin Phillips should consider leaving Manchester City
The Mirror has reported that Manchester City are open to sending Kalvin Phillips out on loan.
And, in my view, Phillips should seriously consider leaving City in the January transfer window, at least on a loan deal.
I do not see how the Englishman could play week in and week out for the Citizens.
If Guardiola is not playing Phillips in matches, it is probably because the City manager has not been impressed with him in training.
I believe that the midfielder should look at his options in January.
Phillips has played only 70 minutes in the Premier League, just seven minutes in the UEFA Champions League, and has made one appearance in the EFL Cup.
