Manchester City have a certain player who feels he has not performed well this season.
For a Manchester City player to make such a claim is a surprise.
As Pep Guardiola’s men won the Premier League for a historic fourth time in a row, their triumph would have been impossible had it not been a collective effort.

Man City player admits he has not “performed well this season at all”
The player in question is Jack Grealish, who was critical of his own performances this season.
On Sky Sports Main Event during their live coverage, the £300,000-a-week man said: “I don’t feel like I have performed well this season at all. I feel like I have performed better this year than I did in my first year but my first year, I just wanted to win, no matter what. Then last year, I played a bit more and this season has been stop, start.”
“I still feel like I played well at points but my standards are high. I feel like I could have played more in some games. I wanted to play but we have so many good players here, it is difficult at times. I don’t think there is any team in the world who rotates like City do but I think that’s the beauty of it.”
Jack Grealish was on the periphery of things at Manchester City this term and at 28 years of age, he would perhaps have hoped before the season that he played his best football.
The Englishman has entered the prime years of his career and he cannot afford to have seasons where he is not at his best now.
Especially after having settled at the Etihad Stadium.
Jack Grealish could use this feeling to spur him on next season
In our view, Jack Grealish could use this very feeling to spur him on next season.
The former Aston Villa captain could perhaps be driven to succeed in the same way he was after a forgettable debut campaign for him at City.
Players who bounce back from a rough season tend to start playing their best football as they learn from their failures.
Whether that is on or off the pitch, Grealish will be hoping that he manages to do as well.
It will be important for the three-time Premier League winner to redeem himself as Jeremy Doku is expected to kick on next season.
Meanwhile, the way Pep Guardiola has managed to get the best out of Josko Gvardiol as a makeshift left wing-back could mean Jack Grealish’s starting place is at risk in the following campaign as well.
