Not many players have left Manchester City and been a huge success elsewhere, and that includes Raheem Sterling at Chelsea.
During his time at Manchester City, Raheem Sterling was one of the best players in the world and was very important in Pep Guardiola’s side.
Raheem Sterling was a star at Manchester City
Following his move from Liverpool in 2015 for £49 million, Sterling scored 131 goals in 339 games for City and won the Premier League title four times.
Chelsea paid City £50 million in transfer fees for the England international attacking midfielder in the summer of 2022 (BBC Sport).
Sterling, who can also operate as a winger, was expected to be a star for Chelsea.
Raheem Sterling has struggled at Chelsea
Like the Blues, the £325,000-a-week (Spotrac) England international has struggled.
The 28-year-old made 23 starts and five substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Blues last season.
Sterling scored six goals and gave three assists in those games.
The England international has scored two goals in six Premier League matches for Chelsea so far this campaign.

Former Tottenham Hotspur striker and talkSPORT pundit Darren Bent has noted that Sterling has not been a success at Chelsea.
Bent said on talkSPORT: “At the time Sterling went to Chelsea, it wasn’t supposed to be this bad, was it?
“He was supposed to be one of their main signings to propel them where they wanted to get to. It hasn’t worked.”
I believe that Raheem Sterling will recover his form soon.
Sterling is a very good player and is 28 now.
He is at his peak at the moment.
Chelsea as a team have been really poor since the start of last season.
And, there have been managerial changes at Stamford Bridge as well.
One point I have to make is that Sterling not having a massive impact at Chelsea shows just how good a ‘coach’ Pep Guardiola is.
Guardiola made Sterling into a goal machine.
