Oleksandr Zinchenko has sent a message to his Arsenal teammates regarding Manchester City.
The 27-year-old made the comments when speaking to The Athletic.
So, what did Oleksandr Zinchenko say about Manchester City? Let’s take a look…
Zinchenko sends Manchester City message to Arsenal
Well, the Ukraine international told his Arsenal teammates that they should learn from Manchester City.
Zinchenko said: “City have built this machine for a couple of years and it was with the same players. Every single player knew where he needed to be with their eyes closed.
“We (Arsenal) are on the right path. I’m not saying we’re trying to copy City, but they are the best team in the world and you always need to learn from the best.”

Clearly, Zinchenko still rates Manchester City highly – despite leaving for the Emirates Stadium in a £32m deal back in July 2022.
The Arsenal No.35 and Mikel Arteta have already replicated plenty of Pep Guardiola’s tactics, including the Spaniard’s tendency to invert the full-backs.
It almost saw the Gunners beat Manchester City to the Premier League title last season, before a remarkable 12-game winning run at the end of the campaign ensured the Citizens swatted Arsenal aside.
Manchester City arguably have not replaced Zinchenko
Txiki Begiristain replaced Gabriel Jesus – and then some – in emphatic fashion with the signing of Erling Haaland, although it could be argued that the Spaniard never replaced Zinchenko.
Guardiola is without a left-back who can slot into midfield like the Ukrainian, despite trialling the system with Josko Gvardiol at times this season.

Jamie Carragher has even claimed that the Croatian looks uncomfortable at times.
There certainly seems to be a desire from Guardiola and Begiristain to sign a new left-back, so don’t be surprised if a player similar to Zinchenko arrives at Manchester City this summer.
