Sam Lee has shared a behind-the-scenes update regarding Manchester City’s preparations for this weekend’s Champions League final.

Following City’s recent FA Cup final victory over Manchester United, the Premier League champions are now preparing to take on Inter Milan in Istanbul on Saturday and secure their first-ever Champions League title.

Now though, following Saturday’s celebrations, some potentially worrying news has emerged that could have City supporters concerned looking ahead to this weekend’s final.

In a recent Twitter post, Lee revealed that Kyle Walker has not featured in City’s latest training session this afternoon.

A big worry for Guardiola

The Englishman almost completed the entire game at Wembley Stadium against the Red Devils, but had to come off just before the final whistle with a suspected injury issue.

This could be why the right-back, who City paid £50m for back in 2017, has not featured in today’s training session.

Having completed the full 90 minutes in all of City’s four final Premier League games of their latest title-winning campaign as well as in both of their Champions League semi-final clashes against Real Madrid, this highlights how important the defender is for the team and Pep Guardiola.

With that in mind, it’s safe to say that Walker’s absence from training could be a concern for the City boss, especially if he was thinking of including the England international in his starting XI to take on Inter this weekend.

Moving forward, everyone at the club will undoubtedly be hoping that whatever has kept the 33-year-old from training today will not be a big issue and that he can get back on the pitch with the rest of his teammates as soon as possible.
