Manchester City have seen a significant number of players join the club since Pep Guardiola took charge back in 2016.
Out of those players, a lot of them have gone on to have big impacts at the Etihad Stadium and spend significant periods there.
In fact, eight players in the current City squad have made over 200 appearances for the club under Guardiola.
Now though, one of those eight players has shared some details about another club who were interested in signing him before he made his move to Manchester.

Kyle Walker says Chelsea wanted to sign him before joining Man City
When asked in a recent edition of You’ll Never Beat Kyle Walker if there were any other clubs interested in signing him before he joined City in July 2017, Walker had this to say in response.
He said: “At that time, Chelsea was definitely wanting me, but with everything that went on over the last number of years with us battling for the titles and battle at the Bridge as well, I didn’t fancy going there because I have a lot of respect for Tottenham and I didn’t really want to be the next Sol Campbell.
“I didn’t want to do that.”
Walker made the right decision to join City
Walker made 229 appearances for Tottenham before he made his £50m move to the Manchester club back in the 2017 summer transfer window.
Since then, the right-back has gone on to make 301 appearances for the Citizens across all competitions, winning multiple trophies along the way.
Despite being 34 years old, Walker was named by Mohammed Kudus as being one of the toughest opponents he’s come up against.
Given how successful he’s been at City, it’d be safe to assume he’s glad he chose to join Guardiola’s side rather than risk his relationship with Spurs and join Chelsea instead.
