Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is incredibly intense in everything that he does.
Pep Guardiola has worked wonders since taking over as Manchester City boss in the summer of 2016.
Six Premier League titles, a Champions League trophy, two FA Cups and four Carabao Cups is quite the haul isn’t it!
However, this season has been a real struggle, and the Man City boss faces a big squad rebuild in the summer transfer window.
Guardiola needs to make some statement signings during the off-season.

Most of the signings he has made during his spell at The Etihad have been hugely successful. That said, he hasn’t always seen eye to eye with his players throughout the years.

Joao Cancelo is enjoying life out in Saudi Arabia right now.
The general consensus is that he could have achieved so much more at The Etihad, had he and Guardiola got along better.
The 30-year-old joined Bayern Munich on loan in January 2023, before moving to Barca on a temporary deal six months later.
Cancelo then left City permanently in the summer of 2024, joining Al Hilal in a deal believed to be worth around £21 million (BBC).
The Portugal international joined Man City from Juventus in 2019 for £60 million (Evening Standard).
He was a huge hit at The Etihad, but things turned sour three years into his City spell.
However, during the first half of the 2022/23 season, Cancelo allegedly fell out with Pep.
It was claimed that he was unhappy with the fact that Rico Lewis and Nathan Ake were getting more regular minutes than him (ESPN).
Not long after that, Guardiola couldn’t get him out the door quick enough.
And now Cancelo has opened up on his notorious fall-out with Pep.

During an interview with A Bola, Cancelo delivered a somewhat surprising response when asked about his disagreements with the Man City boss:

“Pep made me see football in a different way, for me, he is a genius.”
Fair play to Cancelo.
It’s actually refreshing to hear a player not get spiteful about a former manager who he feels he’s been wronged by.
What a shame it is that things never worked out for Joao Cancelo at Manchester City under Pep Guardiola in the end.
However, he clearly holds no grudges against the Spaniard, and that was really pleasing to hear.
