Kyle Walker has shared some behind-the-scenes details regarding what fellow Manchester City teammate Erling Haaland is like away from the pitch.
Having had a rather successful debut season at the Manchester club, the striker is now in the midst of his second campaign and on the hunt to regain the titles he helped his side win last time out.
With a big game ahead of him against Manchester United this afternoon, one of the Norwegian’s teammates has taken the time to share some comments about what he’s like away from the spotlight.
Walker shares Haaland insight

Speaking in a recent video shared on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, Walker had this to say when asked what Haaland is like behind the scenes.
He said: “He’s a good laugh. Obviously, he’s a superstar and in the nicest way possible he knows that. He’s not arrogant with that.
“We were walking out, we were going to training and he’s walking in front of me and I’ve just held the lads back, and he must grow two inches and his walk gets slower.
“He’s a brand, as football is now, he’s brand and he can do that and I’ll keep letting him do that as long as he’s playing football and he’s scoring goals. He went and got the brace that hopefully has put us one step closer to getting to that important stage of the Champions League.”
Having scored 63 goals in 67 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side in all competitions, it’s no surprise that Walker considers Haaland to be one of football’s main superstars at the moment.
Although, taking into account what the Englishman has said here, it’s reassuring to hear that the prolific goalscorer isn’t arrogant about his talent or current status and that Walker will make sure his main priority is what he does on the pitch.
Having undeniably been a massive part of why City were so successful last season, it’s safe to say that the club will need the 23-year-old to keep performing and keep scoring goals on a regular basis if they want to win as much silverware as possible.
