Phil Foden is having the time of his life playing for Manchester City.
The 23-year-old has already won all there is to win in the game at such a tender age but is still getting better and better.
Pep Guardiola believes Foden is now playing the best and most consistent football of his career and his stats would suggest he’s right.
With his latest strike in the 3-1 win over FC Copenhagen on Tuesday, he now has 25 goal contributions this season.
That’s just one off his best-ever tally of 26 and with a significant chunk of the season still to go, he should absolutely smash it.
But Foden wouldn’t be reaching such heights if it wasn’t for the excellent teammates around him at City and he’s singled out one in particular as a ‘joy’ to play with.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Foden has named Kevin De Bruyne as a fantastic teammate.
He told City’s in-house media: “He’s such a key player for us.
“We work really well together, and we have a connection. He’s a joy to work with.”
A dream pairing
De Bruyne has only been back in action after his lengthy spell on the sidelines for seven matches but is already playing on another level.
The brilliant Belgian has scored twice and picked up eight assists, just two behind Foden who tops the assists chart and has played five times as many matches.
We’re already seeing how well the two playmakers can work together in Guardiola’s side.
Two of De Bruyne’s assists were for Foden and the ‘Stockport Iniesta’ returned the favour for the opener in Denmark this week.
The duo are combining all over the pitch and it’s giving City another dimension in their attacking play.
