Alan Smith has said that he loves watching Manchester City striker Erling Haaland in action.
The Norwegian is in the middle of his second season at the Manchester club and on the hunt to regain the three trophies he helped them win last time out.
With the centre-forward having the chance to take his side to the top of the Premier League table if they beat Liverpool tomorrow, one pundit has shared how much he admires the City star.
Smith mesmerised by Haaland

In a recent Q&A on Reddit, Smith had this to say when asked who his favourite player to watch is.
He said: “No matter if he’s quiet, I can’t take my eyes off Haaland. A one-off!”
After seeing the 23-year-old score 86 goals in 89 appearances for Borussia Dortmund, City paid £51m to sign Haaland from the German club back in the 2022 summer transfer window.
Since then, the Norway international has found the back of the net 81 times in 85 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side.
In 22 Premier League games this season, Haaland has had 443 touches of the ball, leaving 15 City players that have touched the ball on more occasions than him.
Despite that, the striker has scored 18 goals, more than any other player at the club and in the entire league.
With all of that in mind, it’s safe to say that while he may not see much of the ball in terms of individual possession compared to his teammates, he does often find himself putting the ball in the back of the net.
This makes it understandable why Smith likes to keep his eyes on Haaland more than any other player he watches.
Looking ahead to the remainder of the season, if the striker can keep scoring goals on a consistent basis, he could be a key factor in whether City win the silverware they’re after or not.
