Thierry Henry has hailed Kevin De Bruyne as the best creator the Premier League has ever seen – and he says he’s that by some distance.
The legendary former striker was speaking in an interview for the official PFA YouTube channel.
Henry was reflecting on winning the PFA Players’ Player of the Season award twice during his incredible stint with Arsenal.
He then got to talking about other winners of the award.
Cristiano Ronaldo and De Bruyne are the only other players to win the award in back-to-back seasons.
Henry’s face lit up when the Belgian’s named was mentioned.
Thierry Henry raves about Kevin De Bruyne and makes huge claim
Henry, of course, has worked with De Bruyne at international level, when he was the assistant manager of Belgium.
He therefore knows the player very well and what he is like off the pitch.

Henry is in no doubt that Manchester City have on their hands the best creator the Premier League has ever seen.
He said: “I see myself a lot with Kevin De Bruyne. It’s very difficult to understand his brain. I came across him in the national team.
“What he sees, what he tries to do… I think for me, as a midfielder, a creator, he’s the best I’ve seen in this league. By a distance.”
“I’ll explain why I see myself in him. I had the same character. When something wasn’t going the way I liked. I used to lose my marbels. This guy is the same. If you take one piece of the watch, the watch doesn’t function the same.
“He gets frustrated. I used to be the same. I had a strong bonding with him. He is a special player. I think what we’ve seen with him is just crazy. I love him. He’s an outstanding player.”
A huge compliment for KDB from the best ever
This is absolutely brilliant hear, from arguably the greatest player the Premier League has ever seen.
It is clear that Henry rates De Bruyne extremely highly.
And it’s difficult to really argue against what he has said.

De Bruyne is a remarkable talent and at this point he probably has surpassed greats of the past like Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard.
Not only is he an amazing footballer, he has that incredibly mentality Henry touches on.
By the end of his career, we could actually be talking about De Bruyne in the same breath as Henry himself.
