Rodri is a Euro 2024 winner – and a remarkable statistic has emerged about the Manchester City midfielder.
Spain defeated England 2-1 in Berlin, and the wait for a trophy goes on for the Three Lions.
Nico Williams opened the scoring just after half-time for Spain, before England hit back through Cole Palmer.
But we saw England failed to capitalise on that unlikely equaliser, and in the 86th minute, Mikel Oyarzabal put Spain back ahead.
Spain were deserved winners, having been the best team on the night and the best team across the last four weeks in Germany.
One man who was crucial to Spain’s win was Rodri – and now, an incredible stat is doing the rounds about the Manchester City star.
Man City star Rodri has won double the number of trophies as he’s lost games since start of 2023

Rodri was named the Player of the Tournament after Spain’s win, with his teammate Lamine Yamal scooping the Young Player of the Tournament.
This was extremely deserved, as Rodri has made Spain tick.
It is fantastic to see him come in for individual recognition. It is not something he gets too hung up about, but Rodri absolutely deserves this kind of acknowledgment.
He is just so good and so consistent, and the influence he has for his team is so clear.
There is perhaps a case to be made now that Rodri is the most influential footballer in the game today, with one remarkable stat emerging after last night’s final.
As per Squawka, Rodri has as lifted twice as many trophies (8) as he has lost games (4) for club and country, since the start of 2023.
He has won two Premier Leagues, one FA Cup, one Champions League, one Club World Cup, one Super Cup, one Nations League and now the Euros.
Following last night’s final, former Premier League defender Jan Vertonghen predicted Rodri will now be the next winner of the Ballon d’Or.
Rodri is phenomenal

This is a simply outrageous stat that just goes to show how important and influential a player Rodri actually is.
He obviously plays for two top teams in Manchester City and Spain, but the fact he personally has lost so few games since the start of 2023 is a testament to how good he is.
The 28-year-old only lasted 45 minutes of last night’s final against England due to picking up an injury. But he still made a huge impact in the tournament and was deservedly named the best player.
Hopefully, he will now be afforded a well-earned break. It is absolutely paramount that he rests up ahead of the 2024/25.
He should not be involved in the bulk of City’s pre-season, and given plenty of time to recharge his batteries.
