Jermaine Beckford has lavished praise upon Manchester City wizard Jeremy Doku.
As shared by Optus Sport, the pundit had his say about the £55 million (CBS Sports) man’s mesmeric display in City’s 6-1 slaughtering of AFC Bournemouth, as he grabbed four assists and a goal.
It’s fair to say that Jeremy Doku now has a fan of his in Jermaine Beckford.
Jermaine Beckford says Jeremy Doku was ‘unplayable’ against Bournemouth
Branded as ‘clever’ by Pep Guardiola, the Belgian international put on a performance for the ages on Saturday.
Beating players for fun, showcasing his underappreciated eye for a pass and producing end product, Doku put on a performance every winger would dream of.
After Manchester City demolished Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium, Jermaine Beckford showered Jeremy Doku with praise.

“Absolutely ridiculous. As a player, I would love to play football with him on my team because he can drift inside, he can go outside”, he said.
“But Jeremy Doku, he was unplayable and we’re only talking about a player who’s made a certain amount of appearances this season in the Premier League. He’s learning and he’s getting better and better as times goes.”
Jermaine Beckford also briefly explained why Jeremy Doku is a much more different type of wide player than Jack Grealish.
“He’s far more direct [than Jack Grealish] so he can go inside, he can go outside on his right foot, as we saw in his first goal. We saw his so-called assist for [Manuel] Akanji, it was on his left foot, which is supposedly his weaker foot. Absolutely outrageous football player. Exciting!”
The sky is the limit for Jeremy Doku
Jermaine Beckford was right to have lauded Jeremy Doku as much as he did as his displays this season have justified the acclaim, especially his masterclass against Bournemouth.
Backing his devastating showings with end product, the youngster is one hell of a prospect at 21 years of age.
Playing alongside some of the best players in the world at Manchester City and under arguably the greatest manager of all time in Pep Guardiola, it would be silly to put a cap on Jeremy Doku’s ceiling.
