Florian Wirtz is said to be a transfer target for Manchester City ahead of the summer transfer window.
Pep Guardiola is plotting a big squad revamp this summer, and Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz is said to be firmly on Manchester City’s radar.
Florian Wirtz would be a stunning signing for Manchester City, and he’s exactly the type of player Pep should be looking to bring to the Etihad.
The Man City manager needs to move on some of his more experienced players this summer, and add some real energy and youthful exuberance to his ranks.

Pep has a serious task on his hands, if he is to guide his Man City side back to the top of the tree, both domestically and on the continent.

In order to do just that, he will undoubtedly have to make a serious splash in the summer transfer window.
And the addition of Wirtz would be a serious power play from Man City.
Man City target Florian Wirtz a Ballon d’Or winner in the making
The 21-year-old Leverkusen star has absolutely everything needed to become a true superstar of the game.
His record for Bayer Leverkusen is truly outstanding, given his tender years.
Wirtz has bagged an astonishing 56 goals and 63 assists in 189 games for the Bundesliga outfit (Transfermarkt).
He’s played a total of 13,753 minutes for Leverkusen, meaning that he has recorded either a goal or an assist every 115 minutes of football he’s played.
The Germany international is a real difference maker, and the scary thing is that he has the potential to reach even higher levels.

Wirtz is a number 10 by trade, but he can operate on either wing as well. He is clearly a Ballon d’Or winner in the making, but where will he be playing his football next season and beyond?
Agent speaks out regarding Manchester City signing Florian Wirtz
SportBild have claimed that Wirtz is Man City’s main transfer target this summer.
And the Cityzens are prepared to pay up to £125 million to prise him away from BayArena.
It was also suggested that Pep Guardiola had asked football agent Giovanni Branchini to convince the 21-year-old to choose a move to City over the likes of Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.
Now though, the agent has described those claims as “fake news”, via Dominik Schneider.
Branchini is said to have denied that he has anything to do with a blockbuster deal that would see Florian Wirtz join Manchester City in the summer.
Whether or not City are working on a deal for the German in the background is unclear, but what is certain is that Branchini has nothing to do with it.
