Erling Haaland has heaped praise on Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
After having a rather successful debut season at City under Guardiola where he won the Treble and broke numerous goalscoring records along the way, the Norwegian and the rest of his teammates are on the hunt to regain the silverware they won last term.
As the Citizens approach a crucial stage of the season, the striker has taken the time to share his thoughts on his manager.
Haaland says ‘unreal’ Guardiola is unique

In a recent interview with ESPN Brazil, Haaland had this to say about Guardiola including what makes him unique, what his strengths are and if he has changed how the Norwegian plays the game.
He said: “The way he thinks about football is completely different. He’s fantastic to work with and I really enjoy it.
“I think everything. See what he’s been doing since he got here. It’s amazing. The way he develops football players is also unreal. And that was also the main reason why I wanted to come here, you know, to work with him and to develop with him.
“Yes, I’m different, a different player. More mature and a better player. Definitely. Thanks to him.”
Having played in 85 games under Guardiola, Haaland has featured for the Spaniard more times than any other coach in his career.
Throughout his managerial career, the 53-year-old has overlooked 864 games, winning 641, drawing 117 and losing 106 along the way, picking up a significant number of trophies along the way.
With that in mind and the fact that he was named The Best FIFA Men’s Coach 2023 back in January, there can be no doubt about Guardiola’s status as one of the best managers around.
Now that Haaland has shared his own account of what makes the City boss so special, this should strengthen the Spaniard’s status and further highlight how significant he is and has been for the Manchester club.
