As Manchester City continue to get linked with a move for Marc Guehi, Harry Maguire recently lavished praise upon him.
It was reported on Sunday that City were intending to bring in a top defender next summer and a name that had caught their attention was the Crystal Palace colossus.
Considering Harry Maguire has witnessed Manchester City-linked centre-back Marc Guehi and his talents from close quarters in the England camp, he gave his verdict (via BBC Sport) on him a little more than two weeks ago.

Since joining Crystal Palace in 2021, the Englishman has been a revelation, earning a reputation as one of the best young defenders in the Premier League.
Alongside Joachim Andersen, the 23-year-old has managed to form one of the finest centre-back partnerships in the division.
With Manchester City seemingly looking to sign Marc Guehi next season, Harry Maguire recently gave a glowing verdict of him.
“Marc has done amazing. I think he left Chelsea at an amazing time when he had to play football. When you watch him play he doesn’t look like a young boy playing football”, the Manchester United defender said.
“He’s a captain of Crystal Palace. He’s going to have a long career in the game. He has all the attributes you need to be a centre-back.”
“He’s such a young boy playing with so much maturity.”
Marc Guehi is a class act
Harry Maguire is spot on and what can be assured is that if Manchester City sign Marc Guehi, they would be bringing in a top talent.
What is especially encouraging about Guehi’s game is that he is an excellent pure defender, capable of keeping attackers out in wide areas whilst being a commanding presence in the centre of defence.
Whilst being an astute reader of the game and a physical specimen, the Chelsea youth product is also an adept passer of the ball.
Under Pep Guardiola’s tutelage, one would expect Marc Guehi to become one of the best defenders in the league, at least.
