Manchester City’s academy was in great form last season and their key players will be hoping to advance in their respective careers this term.

Manchester City’s U21s won the Premier League 2 title, the first team to do so for a fourth time in the competition’s history.

Meanwhile, the U18s won the U18 Premier League North title, setting a number of records along the way.

Oliver Reiss’ side set a new record for the successive number of league wins (21) and a new league points tally (65).

Divin Mubama, one of the stars for the U21s, has now sealed a loan move to Stoke City, and their fans have taken to social media to give their thoughts.

Stoke City fans happy to have Manchester City striker Divin Mubama on loan

For the most part, Stoke fans are happy to see Mubama and are hoping he can have a big impact on loan in Staffordshire.

“This is such a good signing, I’m so excited to see him,” one fan wrote on X.

“I’ve been admiring Mubama for well over a year, he deserves game time in this league.”

Another said: “Well, if his stats are anything to go by this young man could be mightily impressive for us! Welcome to Stoke Divin Mubama!”

The praise kept coming, with one fan writing: “Happy with that. It’ll take him a bit to get up to speed but think Stoke are onto a winner there.

“Definitely need another striker through the door though, so then it’s Mubama, Gallagher and another potentially more experienced forward.”

Another said: “Feels like a really interesting signing this. Good luck Divin!”

Another wrote: “Common theme through the signings so far – big, athletic and strong and hopefully commanding.

“Hopefully that’s the end of us looking for players like Komas, Cundle and Moran lightweight on the ball, in the air and poor at tracking back for the team…. 3 solid signings so far.”

Fabrizio Romano previously reported that Ipswich Town were after Mubama, and that City rated the striker at £10million.

“To sign Divin so early within our pre-season – able to play in our matches, build relationships with his teammates and generate tactical awareness of the way we play – is hugely positive.

“We know how lethal he can be in front of goal, and he’s also someone with the desire and work ethic to put in the hard yards for the team, which is exactly what our supporters love to see.”
