Manchester City star Phil Foden has played with and against a wide range of top-level players throughout his career.

At the age of 24, Foden has made 270 senior appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side and 41 for the England national team.

Having played with and against a lot of top players, winning many trophies along the way, Foden has established himself as one of the best players in Europe, especially since he was named the Premier League Player of the Season last term.

Now though, another top-flight star who knows what it’s like to have the City star as an opponent and as a teammate has shared one word to sum him up.

Anthony Gordon sums up Phil Foden in one word

Appearing in a recent video uploaded to the Fubo YouTube channel, Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon was asked to use one word to describe a range of players.

When asked to sum up Foden, Gordon used the word “technique” to define the City midfielder.

Foden’s technique has been praised before

Having faced off against Foden on seven occasions and played with him in three games for England, it’s clear that Gordon knows all about what the City star can do with a football.

This isn’t the first time the England international’s technique has been highlighted by a fellow Premier League star, as Kobbie Maino described Foden’s first touch as “crazy” back in June.

Looking back over his latest title-winning league campaign with City, Foden ended up making the second-highest number of successful take-ons (47) at the Manchester club, further highlighting how impressive his ability on the ball is.

Taking all of that into account, it may not surprise most City supporters that Gordon’s mind immediately went to Foden’s technical ability when asked to describe his England teammate in one word.
