Sam Allardyce has claimed that Raheem Sterling will never be as good as he was when he was at Manchester City.
Last summer, the winger brought an end to his seven-year spell at the Manchester club and made a move to Chelsea in a deal worth £50m.
Having now started his second season at the west London club, one former Premier League manager has had his say on the former City star.
Allardyce says Sterling will never hit City heights

Speaking in a recent edition of the No Tippy Tappy Football, Allardyce had this to say about Sterling.
He said: “Sterling scored more goals at Manchester City than he’ll ever do at any other football club because he’s served up with more chances there than he’ll be served up at Chelsea.”
City signed the Englishman from Liverpool back in 2015 in a deal worth a reported overall fee of £49m.
During his time at the Manchester club, the winger made 339 appearances across all competitions, scoring 131 goals, delivering 95 assists and winning numerous trophies along the way including four Premier League titles.

Bearing in mind how Pep Guardiola’s side ended their previous Premier League campaign with more shot-creating actions (1099) and goal-creating actions (168) than any other side in the division, this backs up why Allardyce thinks City is the best side for Sterling, or any player, to get plenty of chances to score goals.
Having scored nine goals in 38 appearances last season in all competitions, the England international will undoubtedly be hoping to have a better campaign at Chelsea this time around than he and the rest of his teammates did last season, with catching up to City most likely being one of their targets.
