Rodri was named as UEFA’s Man of the Match in the Champions League final on Saturday evening.
The Spaniard scored the winning goal against Inter Milan on Saturday night, and he was a worthy winner of the Man of the Match award.
However, speaking on ESPN, Craig Burley has claimed that there was one City player who was even better than Rodri last night.
Indeed, the pundit named Stones as his Man of the Match, stating that he was the best passer on the night in a game where City struggled to get much of a foothold.

Stones Man of the Match
Burley gave his verdict on Stones.
“Was Rodri the Man of the Match?” Burley was asked.
“No, I don’t think so, from a City perspective I think Stones was better. He passed the ball better than anyone in the City side. He looked really comfortable on the ball and once again was arguably City’s best player,” Burley said.
Brilliant
It’s hard to argue against the case for Stones being City’s Man of the Match last night.
The centre-back turned midfielder was brilliant in all aspects. He was unpassable in defence, he was calm in possession, and he even dribbled in a way Phil Foden would be jealous of.
Stones showcased his absolute best qualities against Inter Milan, and while UEFA may have given Rodri the Man of the Match award, Stones would have been a more than worthy recipient of that honour after a fantastic performance on the biggest of stages.
The 29-year-old was excellent again, and he deserves all of the praise that is coming his way after a brilliant season.
