Peter Crouch has claimed that Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez would start for every Premier League side.
Across his debut season at the Manchester club, the Argentine started 23 of the 49 games he appeared in across all competitions.
With the 23-year-old now in the midst of his second season with the Citizens, one pundit and former top-flight striker has shared his thoughts on what sort of role the striker would have at other sides in the Premier League.
Crouch says Alvarez starts for every Premier League side

Speaking in a recent Q&A video on the TNT Sports YouTube channel, Crouch had this to say in response to a claim from a social media user saying that Alvarez has what it takes to start for every other Premier League team.
He said: “Totally agree with this, been saying this for a long time. I think he walks into any other Premier League team.”
Bearing in mind how Alvarez has featured in all of City’s 13 games in all competitions so far this season, starting 11 of them, this highlights how much more prominent the striker has been in Pep Guardiola’s side compared to last season.

Having scored six goals and delivered five assists across his 13 appearances in this campaign, this showcases how much of a vital attacking figure the World Cup winner has been for the Citizens.
Not only does this back up Crouch’s point about the centre-forward being good enough to start for every other side in the Premier League, it also proves how much of a great piece of business it was from the Manchester club to secure a deal worth £14m for him back in January 2022.
