Ben Chilwell has played against Manchester City on several occasions.
Specifically, during his time at Leicester City and Chelsea, the left-back has appeared in 12 games against City across all competitions.
Out of those 12 games, the Englishman has been on the losing side eight times, drawing once and winning the other three.
Now though, the full-back has pinpointed one particular player who the City supporters will be very familiar with as being the best he’s ever faced off against.

Ben Chilwell names Riyad Mahrez as his toughest opponent
Appearing in a recent video shared on The Footy Culture TikTok channel, Chilwell was asked to name the best player he’s ever played against.
In response, the Englishman, who has 192 combined appearances in the Premier League and Champions League under his belt, said Riyad Mahrez.
Mahrez used to terrify defenders
This isn’t the first time one of the 33-year-old’s former Leicester teammates has highlighted how good he is, as Kasper Schmeichel said back in May that Mahrez was a “world-class” player.
Back in the 2018 summer transfer window, City paid £60m (via BBC Sport) to sign Mahrez from Leicester.
During his time at the Etihad Stadium, the winger scored 78 goals, delivered 56 assists and won many trophies in 236 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side.
After winning the Treble with the Blues, the attacker joined Al Ahli back in the 2023 summer transfer window.
Chilwell and Mahrez appeared in 37 matches together at Leicester, so the full-back certainly knows what the former City star was like as a player.
As an opponent, the Algerian came up against his former Leicester teammate on five occasions, winning three and losing two.
Mahrez also scored one goal against Chilwell during City’s 3-1 victory over Leicester back in the 2019/20 season.
Having proved himself to be such a dangerous attacking figure, it’d be safe to assume that Chilwell isn’t the only defender who had trouble trying to stop the former City winger.
