Ben Foster has claimed that Erling Haaland has the ability to do everything on the pitch for Manchester City.

Earlier this week, the striker was revealed to be one of the nominations for the 2023 Premier League Young Player of the Year Award.

This has since led to one pundit and former top-flight player sharing their thoughts on the Norwegian and his efforts in a City shirt this season.

Speaking in a recent video uploaded on the Premier League’s official YouTube channel, Foster said this about Haaland and why he has found himself nominated for the award.

Foster lauds Haaland

He said: “His goalscoring record this season has just been ridiculous. He is quite simply a robot, honestly, he is an absolute robot.

“I don’t even know how many hat-tricks he’s scored this season but he’s scoring with his head, left foot, right foot, he can do absolutely everything.

“I think, as well, some players when they’re scoring goals and they’re on a hot streak, they can almost be overachieving. I don’t think Erling Haaland is overachieving, I think this is just him, it’s what he does.”

Having found the net 36 times in 33 league appearances, making him very likely to be getting his hands on the Golden Boot at the end of the campaign, it’s not only understandable why Haaland has been nominated for the Young Player of the Year Award, but also why he has received this praise from Foster.

Given how impressive the 22-year-old has been throughout his debut campaign in England, which could end with a Premier League medal around his neck, the next step for him would be to replicate or even improve upon the goalscoring prowess he has shown this term next season.
