Manchester City have enjoyed a strong start to their latest season.
In addition to winning the Community Shield, Pep Guardiola’s side have also won all three of their opening Premier League games of the campaign.
One player in the squad who has played a big role in the season so far is Bernardo Silva, who has started all three of City’s league games.
Having also completed the full 90 minutes in those trio of matches against Chelsea, Ipswich Town and West Ham United, the 30-year-old has delivered two assists for the Blues.
With Silva now on international duty with Portugal, he has taken the opportunity to share his frustration at one particular aspect of what life is like at the Manchester club and what this season will entail for him and his teammates.

Bernardo Silva lets rip on Man City’s fixture schedule
Speaking to Record (via Fabrizio Romano), Silva had this to say about City’s fixtures schedule for the season.
He said: “The schedule is completely crazy.
“We’ve just received the news that we only have one day off for the English League Cup game. We’ll probably play every three days for months. It’s been absolutely absurd.
“In the Champions League, if you don’t qualify for the round of 16 you still have to play two more games. It’s true that the squads are bigger, but I’m not going to say that it’s easy It hasn’t been easy.
“I spend very little time with my family and friends. The amount of games we’re subjected to is absolutely absurd.”
Silva is right to be concerned about the packed fixture schedule
As Silva mentioned, City’s Carabao Cup third-round fixture against Watford was recently scheduled for 24 September, just two days after their Premier League match against Arsenal.
This isn’t the first time the Portuguese international has spoken out (via The Guardian) about City’s hectic schedule, as he highlighted how difficult it was to play in last season’s FA Cup semi-final game against Chelsea just a few days after their quarter-final clash against Real Madrid.
Now that Silva has shared his bafflement about this season’s schedule, it’ll be interesting to see how he and the rest of his City teammates fare throughout such a busy campaign.
