Jack Grealish has said that he has told Manchester City teammate, Kyle Walker, that he feels the right-back is in the best form of his career right now.

The duo are in the midst of their third season together at the Manchester club and are on the hunt to win the club their fourth Premier League title in a row.

With the pair currently on international duty together with England, Grealish has shared his thoughts about how he feels about the right-back’s current form.

Speaking in a recent interview with The Times, Grealish had this to say about Walker.

He said: “The defenders as well. Kyle Walker, he’s what now; 33? I said to him the other day, ‘Mate, I think this is the best I’ve ever seen you.’”

City signed the defender back in the 2017 summer transfer window from Tottenham Hotspur in a deal worth £50m.

Since then, the 33-year-old has made 266 appearances for the club across all competitions, chipping in with six goals and 19 assists, winning numerous titles along the way including five Premier League trophies.

This season has seen the 33-year-old featured in 12 of City’s 13 games, starting all 12 of them, highlighting how important he is to Pep Guardiola.

Having made more passes into the penalty area (12) as well as more carries into the penalty area (21) than any other City player in the Premier League this season, these attacking attributes could be why Grealish thinks Walker is in his prime at the moment.

Moving forward, if the veteran can continue to play regularly for City and show how much of a vital player he is for the club, he’ll give his side a good chance of winning even more silverware.
