Manchester City are no strangers when it comes to making changes to their squad.
Previous summer transfer windows have seen various players make moves in and out of the Etihad Stadium.
For example, the previous summer window saw City bring in Savinho on a £33m deal from Troyes and seal a free transfer for Ilkay Gundogan from Barcelona.
Then in terms of outgoings, the Blues sold the likes of Julian Alvarez, Joao Cancelo, Liam Delap and Sergio Gomez on permanent deals to various clubs.
Now that the Citizens are on the hunt to win more trophies, Pep Guardiola has made a comment suggesting some big changes could be in the pipeline regarding his current squad.

Pep Guardiola hints at big Man City decision over ageing squad
In his latest press conference, Guardiola was asked if he’s likely to be overseeing some big changes to the City squad in the foreseeable future following the announcement of his two-year contract extension.
In response, the City boss shared this insight on the matter, dropping a fairly big hint in the process.
He said: “We have 12 players more than 30 years. We have to see what is going on and I want to see for myself first. After, we’re going to decide.”
Pat Nevin highlighted City’s ageing squad as a potential problem
City have an average squad age of 27.8, leaving only three other Premier League clubs with a higher average age according to Transfermarkt.
Staying on the subject, Pat Nevin discussed City’s current squad and its average age, saying this on the topic.
“In top-flight football, teams have to make sure they don’t age too much together, because when the fall comes, it can be precipitous.
“Manchester City look threadbare, but they also have an ageing core group. I picked what I think is the best City 11 with all players being fit and available, and an average age of 29.5 years popped out.
“This may sound perfect, but the likes of Phil Foden and Erling Haaland pulled that average down considerably.”

As things stand, City are five points behind Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table as they head into the final week of November.
Looking ahead to the next summer transfer window, which will see Hugo Viana replace Txiki Begiristain as City’s sporting director, if the Blues end up not winning the league, a big squad overhaul should be on the club’s agenda if they feel it’s necessary.
