Manchester City and Bayern Munich are reportedly close to reaching an agreement over the transfer of Kyle Walker.
The 33-year-old’s future has been in doubt in the week since the end of last season.
Walker was overlooked for the Champions League final, with Manuel Akanji starting on the right of a back three.
Walker did play in the FA Cup final against Manchester United, though.
And he was also utlised heavily in the last two months of the season.
Despite this, Walker is seemingly wanting pastures new.
Bayern have been keen for a while – and it looks like there could be movement very soon.
Bayern and Man City close to agreement over Kyle Walker, deal could be struck for around £13 million
According to German publication Sport1, City and Bayern are closing in on an agreement for the England international.

It is suggested that the player’s move will cost somewhere around £13 million.
Walker has already informed Pep Guardiola is his desire to leave.
He’s had an offer from City, just like Ilkay Gundogan did, but he wants a new challenge.
Bayern are looking at Walker as a possible replacement for Benjamin Pavard, who ironically has been linked with a move to City.
One does wonder if there will be any talk about a potential player swap.
Interestingly, Bayern and City are playing each other on Wednesday. So more talks over Walker will be taking place while the sides are in Japan. And possibly even Kalvin Phillips, too.
City losing Walker would be a blow
It would be no surprise if there was some movement on this deal later this week.
Most likely, updates could come after that game on Wednesday.
It seems Walker is pretty keen to leave now. It is understandable that he perhaps wants one final experience before retiring.
He’s still playing at a really high level. As Micah Richards said in a feature piece for the City website: “Kyle Walker is brilliant. He is one of the most consistent performers I have seen for a long time. I think he has been amazing.”

So if he does go then it’s undoubtedly a blow for City.
Very few players in the game today have the ability that Walker does, especially when it comes to recovery.
Hopefully if he leaves, the club are able to find someone who can replace him.
