Michael Brown has heaped praise on one particular Manchester City player he thinks is better than Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka.

The two sides are set to meet each other in the Premier League once again on Sunday for what could be a key match in the title race.

Ahead of this big game, one pundit and former City player has shared his thoughts on two players that could have a big impact on where the points could be going on this occasion.

Speaking in a recent episode of the BBC’s Football Daily podcast, Brown had this to say when asked who he thinks is better out of Saka and Phil Foden.

He said: “I love what Bukayo Saka is doing at the moment, he’s getting better and better.

“I just think Phil is this unbelievable talent, you’ll say I’m being biased but he can do things nobody else can, he’s getting right in his stride now, could be the player of the year, sensational player in all different positions, not just in one. Foden all the way.”

With 28 Premier League appearances under his belt this season, Foden has scored 11 goals and supplied seven assists.

In comparison, the Arsenal winger has found the net 13 times and provided eight assists in 27 league games.

Delving deeper into the duo’s individual campaigns, the City star has a higher percentage of shots on target than Saka (41.2% vs 31.2%) and a higher percentage of successful take-ons (46.4% vs 39.8%).

However, the Arsenal winger has racked up more shot-creating actions (148 vs 112) and goal-creating actions (17 vs 14) than his England teammate, highlighting how much of a dangerous player he is and how he could cause problems for City on Sunday.

Despite Brown’s clear preference towards Foden, we feel that both players are undoubtedly very important for their respective sides and have what it takes to make an impact in Sunday’s big showdown.
