Gabby Agbonlahor has shared his prediction for Manchester City’s upcoming Premier League match against Liverpool.

After coming from behind to beat Manchester United 3-1 in their previous league outing, the Citizens have another big game ahead of them on Sunday as they travel to Anfield to take on Jurgen Klopp’s title-chasing side.

Looking ahead to this big showdown, one pundit has weighed in on how he thinks the game will go.

Speaking in a recent video shared on talkSPORT’s official X account, Agbonlahor had this to say about City’s big clash against the Reds.

He said: “If Liverpool had everyone fit, I would go for a Liverpool win. But with the injuries they’ve got, certain players coming back, [Mohamed] Salah, how fit will he be? We don’t know.

“Man City have had a chance to rest players this week in the Champions League, I can only see a Manchester City win.

“A tight game but the big players like [Phil] Foden, [Erling] Haaland and [Kevin] De Bruyne will come through. I’m going to go 2-1 to Manchester City.”

As things stand, the Merseyside club are one point above the Blues at the top of the Premier League table and two above Arsenal in third place.

In terms of the injuries Agbonlahor mentioned, the Reds have numerous players out on the sidelines such as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Curtis Jones, Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota among others.

Although, Salah made his return from injury in Thursday’s 5-1 win over Sparta Prague in the Europa League.

With those injuries in mind, and with City only having Jack Grealish out injured, it’s understandable why Agbonlahor thinks Pep Guardiola’s side will walk away with three points on Sunday.

If this were to happen, it would be a big step for City in their chase to regain the Premier League title.
