Manchester City fans react as Jürgen Klopp announces Liverpool exit
Well, ever since Pep Guardiola arrived at the Etihad Stadium in 2016, the German has been a constant thorn in the Spaniard’s side.
In truth, Klopp even managed to outdo the 53-year-old in Germany at times while at Borussia Dortmund before their paths crossed in England, during Guardiola’s days in charge of Bayern Munich.
Klopp has won 12 of his 29 encounters against Guardiola – recording more wins against the Manchester City boss than any other manager in history.

It has been one of the great managerial rivalries in Premier League history, hence why some Manchester City fans on X have taken the time to respond.
One supporter said there is “something sad about this” – as much as it could end up benefitting Manchester City later down the line, given the fact one title rival is set to lose their manager.
Another fan even admitted that they cannot believe this news is real – it has truly come as a shock to the entire footballing community, let alone just Manchester City supporters.

A third fan said Klopp is “the only rival” they actually respect in the Premier League – clearly, a few supporters feel like the Premier League could lose a huge competitive edge without the talented German.
