Glenn Murray has now made a claim about Pep Guardiola at Manchester City while praising Jeremy Doku.
The 40-year-old shared the comments when speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live.
So, what was said about Jeremy Doku and Pep Guardiola? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the man who scored four goals in nine appearances against Manchester City throughout his career believes the Spaniard has changed his ways recently, to accommodate Erling Haaland and the Belgium international.
Murray said: “Doku is very different to most of the players that Guardiola has had at Man City. Guardiola changed his ways a little last season with Erling Haaland and he’s done it again with Doku.
“Players like Doku are the reason that I watch football. It is pure entertainment. He picks the ball up and has no other thought than to go at his man and create something, that gets you on the edge of your seat. He’s added another bow to Manchester City’s attack.”
Guardiola has shown a tendency to sign players with highly impressive physical traits in recent times, such as the imperious Haaland and the unbelievably speedy Doku.
Whatever the reason for the 52-year-old’s slight change of transfer policy, it has paid off tremendously.

Haaland, of course, scored 52 goals in just 53 appearances last season as Manchester City won a historic treble.
In regards to Doku, despite only arriving in August, the 21-year-old has been electric on the wings, even breaking a record in becoming the youngest player to register five goal involvements in a single Premier League game during the 6-1 win over Bournemouth.
In this day and age, the Manchester City No.11 was a snip, having cost just £55.5m from Rennes.
Guardiola gives Doku the nod yet again at Manchester City
Some felt the £378,846-a-week Guardiola would opt for Jack Grealish in today’s clash against Liverpool, including Alan Pardew.

However – as he also did against Chelsea – the Spaniard decided to start Doku ahead of the £100m England international, suggesting that the Belgian is currently the preferred choice.
To walk into a treble winning side and claim a starting role so quickly at the age of just 21 speaks volumes about Doku – Manchester City have a diamond on their hands, to say the least.
