Chris Sutton believes Jack Grealish is one of the five worst divers to have ever graced the game.
Even during his time at Aston Villa, Grealish was often vilified by fans and pundits alike as they felt he went down far too easily.
For years now, the Manchester City technician has also been one of the most fouled players in the Premier League.
Chris Sutton says Jack Grealish is one of the five worst divers of all time
However, some may argue that the Englishman goes down as often as he does merely because he is fouled quite a lot.
For instance, during the 2021/2022 season, when Grealish came off the bench against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of the Champions League quarter-final, he was hacked left, right and centre.
It was surprising to see the Spanish giants react as they did to the 28-year-old’s arrival, as the rationale behind them constantly fouling him was puzzling to witness.
Even so, Chris Sutton named the five worst divers in the history of football, according to him on X and Jack Grealish was ranked fourth on his list.

Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane was first, Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes was second, Al-Nassr’s Cristiano Ronaldo was fourth and Rangers’ Todd Cantwell was fifth.
Jack Grealish seems to have a reason for winning fouls
In our view, it is unfair to describe Jack Grealish as a diver, as Chris Sutton has done.
A player that dives simply tends to go down too easily quite frequently, while Grealish tries his best to ride challenges and stay on his feet.
However, the 28-year-old seems to know when and how to win fouls but he only does so based on how the game is going instead of constantly trying to win penalties and free-kicks for no rhyme or reason.
Mostly, however, Jack Grealish is brutally hacked down by midfielders and defenders and not many players would be able to stay on their feet when such challenges are made.
