Manchester City youngster Cole Palmer will start today against Brentford.
That was the information provided by Manchester Evening News journalist Simon Bajkowski, which has now been confirmed.
The 21-year-old is being rewarded for his great cameo against Brighton in midweek, which saw him provide a great cross for Erling Haaland in the second-half. But the Norwegianโs goal was chalked off for a push.
Palmer has again had to be patient this season.
The Englishman has only made 24 appearances across all competitions for a total of 760 minutes.
But he has another chance today to show what he can do.
It is difficult for Palmer because City have so many options of real quality to play in the wide areas.
Pep Guardiola can choose from the likes of Jack Grealish, Riyad Mahrez, Bernardo Silva, Phil Foden and even Julian Alvarez.
So Palmer has to bide his time.
But heโs a great young talent, and his performances against Brighton and Chelsea were impressive. They were a reminder of his high potential.

A top performance from Palmer today might just be significant for him.
Should he shine and take the opportunity with both hands, then perhaps that will mean he sticks around as part of the squad again next season.
But should he struggle to make an impact, we could be talking about a potential loan move next term.
Meanwhile news of Cityโs XI has dropped. Ederson is in goal and protected by a defence of Kyle Walker, Aymeric Laporte, Nathan Ake, who returns from injury, and Sergio Gomez.
There are then starts for Kalvin Phillips, Rico Lewis, Phil Foden, Riyad Mahrez, Palmer, and Julian Alvarez up top.
City goal machine Erling Haaland drops to the bench, as Guardiola seeks to rest key stars ahead of two cup finals.
