Manchester City have been mentioned as a potential destination for Crystal Palace No.7 Michael Olise.
It was Luke Edwards of the Telegraph who made the claim.
So, what was said about Manchester City and Michael Olise? Let’s take a look…
Olise could join Manchester City
Well, the 22-year-old has been in sensational form since returning from a hamstring injury.
Olise has scored five goals in nine Premier League appearances – while also providing one assist – including a late equaliser against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.
Now – according to Edwards – the £8m man could link up with Pep Guardiola.
The respected journalist told the BBC: “I expect that fight to come in the summer, but my advice to Crystal Palace fans unfortunately would be to enjoy him while you can.
“If he doesn’t go this month, and I don’t think he’ll go this month, I think Palace can fight off any suitors this month, but when that release clause becomes active there’s very little they can do.
“Then it’s just going to be a case of a very talented young footballer deciding where he wants to go, could be Manchester City, could be Chelsea, could be Arsenal, could be Manchester United.”

The Mirror believe this release clause is worth £60m.
Of these four Premier League sides, Olise would be wise to join the Citizens – in our view at least.
Manchester City can land Mahrez 2.0 in Olise
The similarities between Riyad Mahrez and Olise – who Manchester City looked at in the summer – are scary.
Like the Algeria international, the France U21 international boasts an otherworldly level of control on that left foot of his, where he causes opponents real problems when cutting inside.

Manchester City have not replaced Mahrez yet, and are arguably a lot weaker on that right flank after Cole Palmer also departed.
Therefore, a move for the £100,000-a-week Olise would make a lot of sense for Guardiola.
