Manchester City could be making a big mistake by selling Kyle Walker.
That is the view of ESPN pundit Craig Burley, who has been speaking about the speculation currently surrounding the 33-year-old.
In recent days, Walker has become heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich.
The star is rumoured to be unhappy about the fact he did not start the Champions League final.
Despite not starting in Istanbul against Inter, Walker was practically ever-present for City in the last three months of the 2022/23 season.
But seemingly, the player is now considering his options.
And Burley reckons it would be a mistake from City to sell.

It has also been suggested today that Walker could yet stay at the Etihad.
Fabrizio Romano reported that Walker is in talks with the club about a possible extension.

It’s all up in the air right now, but Burley would look to keep him if he was Pep Guardiola.
He said (via ESPN FC): “For the last month of the season in particular, he was their best defender.
“No one else at Manchester City can do what he does defensively, nobody.
“Young Rico Lewis is not ready to do what Kyle Walker does. Walker showed in those Champions League games in particular against the top wide player in football Vinicius Jr… he showed that he’s probably just as quick as when he was 25. Just as fit, just as quick. But guess what? Way more experienced.
“It is a surprise to me that they’d want to let him go.”
No one does it like Kyle Walker, as Man City full-back’s future remains in doubt
Burley is right – no one can really defend quite like Walker.
In the sense that, he can salvage situations that most other players could not.
The £160,000-a-week star is still a physical specimen at 33 years old. And City have often gotten away with things at the back thanks to him and his brilliant pace.

Maybe City do have someone lined up to replace him.
But it would definitely be a bold move to sell Walker given how good he still is and the unique game he still has.
