‘Craque’: Lucas Paqueta blown away by £43m Manchester City midfielder

Just as I expected, Manchester City hammered Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this past weekend.

Manchester City eased past Bournemouth 6-1 at the Etihad Stadium in the Premier League this past Saturday.

It was a brilliant performance from the defending champions.

One of the best players on the pitch during the match was Bernardo Silva.

Silva scored two goals.

The Portugal international, who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger, found the back of the net first in the 33rd minute and then on 83 minutes.

West Ham United ace Lucas Paqueta praises Manchester City star Bernardo Silva

The £43 million (Sky Sports) star started in attacking midfield alongside Julian Alvarez behind star striker Erling Haaland in a 3-4-2-1 formation.

West Ham United attacking midfielder Lucas Paqueta was hugely impressed by Silva, as you can see from his post on Instagram below.

Paqueta thinks that Silva is an ace.

Interestingly, Paqueta has been linked with a move to City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season.

City tried to sign the Brazil international playmaker from West Ham in the summer transfer window and even made a bid of £70 million for him.

The Sun on Sunday (print edition October 15th, page 75), Paqueta is dreaming of a transfer to City and has an £85 million release clause in his contract that will become active in 2024.

On October 21, Football Transfers reported that City are still interested in the playmaker and “admire” him, adding that the Citizens could make an approach once the FA investigation into alleged betting breaches is over.

My View: Bernardo Silva is world class

In my opinion, Manchester City and Portugal international star Bernardo Silva is a world-class player.

I believe that Silva’s importance in the current City team cannot be undermined at all.

The 29-year-old is at the top of his game at the moment and is not showing any signs of slowing down.

Silva has scored three goals and given two assists in seven starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for City so far this season.
