Manchester City have won the Champions League after years of trying, beating Inter 1-0 in the final in Istanbul tonight – and club legend David Silva has given his instant reaction to the result.

It was a tough evening for City in terms of the actual game, with Inter proving a very tough nut to crack.
Simone Inzaghi’s side were really organised and worked extremely hard, making it difficult for City to break them down.
But City got the job done, with Rodri scoring potentially the most important goal he will ever score. And potentially a goal just as important as Sergio Aguero’s against QPR.
He popped up to curl an effort in, after great work from Manuel Akanji and Bernardo Silva.
The star has written his name into the club’s history books, and also cemented his status as the best defensive midfielder in world football.
Ederson was also magnificent tonight, as were Ruben Dias and John Stones, whom Stan Collymore branded ‘exceptional’.
At the stadium tonight, plenty of former City stars were present.
The likes of Sergio Aguero, Carlos Tevez and Fernandinho were all there watching.
And those who could not be there, were watching from home.

It’s the trophy that has long eluded the club, but City are finally Champions of Europe.
Completing the Treble will now throw City into the conversation as being the best club side there has ever been.
