Declan Rice has hailed one Manchester City player for how elegant he is on the pitch.
The midfielder has racked up 242 Premier League games and 52 times for the England national team.
His latest appearance for the Three Lions came during Sunday’s 1-0 win over Serbia in their opening game of the 2024 European Championship.
At the age of 25, Rice has played alongside and against a significant number of top-level players.
Now though, in the midst of the group stage of the Euros, the Arsenal midfielder has shared his verdict on one particular City player he knows what it’s like to play with and against.

Declan Rice sums up Phil Foden in just one word
In a recent video shared on the official England TikTok channel, Rice was asked to describe each of his international teammates with just one word.
When Phil Foden’s name came up, the Gunners star summed him up with the word “elegance.”
After working his way through the youth academy at his boyhood club, the 24-year-old has now gone on to make 270 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side in all competitions.
Across those games, Foden, who was named the Premier League player of the season for the 2023/24 campaign, has scored 87 goals and provided 53 assists for his club.
Foden has a reputation of being effortless on the ball
This isn’t the first time a member of the England squad has hailed the City star’s ability on the ball, as Kieran Trippier said earlier this month that Foden’s vision and technique is “frightening” to the Newcastle United captain.
Now that another one of Foden’s England teammates has highlighted how impressive the midfielder is on the ball, we feel that this perfectly sums up what sort of player he is and how it feels to watch him on the pitch.
Moving forward, everyone in the Three Lions camp will undoubtedly be hoping that the City midfielder will be able to show his elegance throughout the remainder of the tournament and help his country get to the final.
