Dermot Gallagher has been reviewing Sunday’s Premier League clash between Manchester City and Manchester United.
The 66-year-old, who used to referee in the Premier League, specifically commented on the argument between Jeremy Doku and Antony in his Ref Watch segment for Sky Sports.

Well, the Irishman believes Manchester City players actually helped the Manchester United No.21 stay on the pitch by reacting calmly to his clash with the Belgium international.
As you may have seen, Antony totally lost his cool after Doku dribbled past him not once, but twice, towards the end of Sunday’s derby.
The Brazil international opted to take a wild swipe at the Belgian’s legs in anger – which led to the Manchester City No.11 squaring up to him – before the situation fizzled out.
However, Gallagher believes Antony could have been shown a red card, had Doku and his Manchester City teammates made more of a meal out of the situation.
He said: “I think it was a very unwise thing to do. There was no intention of going for the ball. The Manchester City players have done him a massive favour because if he ends up on the floor, everything changes. He’s a lucky boy.”

In our view, it was staggering to see just how cool the Manchester City players were after Antony effectively assaulted Doku – we feel there should have been uproar, as the challenge could have caused the £55.5m man a serious injury.
The South American was clearly frustrated as Manchester City coasted towards all three points towards the end of the derby, and quite obviously just wanted to take it all out on the 21-year-old.
It was a petulant act from the Brazilian, especially towards a youngster getting his first taste of the Manchester derby, and senior players should have stepped in immediately to sort the £86m man out.
