Josko Gvardiol has shared his astonishment at what fellow Manchester City star, Jeremy Doku, is capable of.

The Croatian was one of the four players the Manchester club signed during the previous summer transfer window.

With a few months now under his belt as a City player, the defender has now shared his thoughts on another one of the club’s summer signings.

In a recent interview with the club shared in their December issue of the City Magazine, Gvardiol had this to say about Doku and his ability.

He said: “I don’t know how it is possible, the movement of [Jeremy’s] feet – he’s the quickest guy I ever came across. I’m happy I’m part of his team and that I don’t have to mark him – the same with Erling [Haaland]”

City signed the winger from Rennes in a deal worth £55m and have since seen the 21-year-old make 16 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and supplying six assists along the way.

According to WhoScored, Doku’s strengths include his dribbling, finishing and his ability to hold onto the ball, which highlights how much of a danger he can be for opposition players to deal with.

In fact, the Belgian has made more progressive carries (80), carries into the penalty area (51) and successful take-ons (43) than any other player in the league this season.

Taking all of that into account, it’s clear that Doku has quickly found his feet in the Premier League and has already made himself to be one of the most dangerous attacking players in the division, making it understandable why Gvardiol has been so enamoured with the winger’s ability.

Moving forward, if the winger can continue to show what he’s capable of and pick up as many goals and assists as he can, he’ll undoubtedly be seen as one of the best signings of the summer.
