Paul Merson has shared how he thinks Manchester City will fare in their upcoming Premier League match against Sheffield United.
After securing two league victories against Burnley and Newcastle United, the Citizens travel to Bramall Lane this Sunday to take on the Yorkshire club for their latest domestic outing.
Ahead of this weekend’s fixtures, one well-known pundit has shared his thoughts on how this particular match will go.
Merson drops City prediction

Written in a recent column for Sportskeeda, Merson had this to say about City’s match against the Blades.
He said: “I worry for Sheffield United this season, and I don’t see them doing much in the Premier League. I don’t see anything but a Manchester City win this weekend.”

Bearing in mind how Pep Guardiola’s side have not only won both of their two league games in this campaign but have managed to keep a clean sheet in both matches, and how Paul Heckingbottom’s side have lost their opening two games, this makes it easy to see why Merson thinks the Citizens will make it three wins out of three this weekend.

The last time these two sides met came back in April where City beat the Yorkshire club 3-0 at Wembley Stadium in the semi-final of the FA Cup.
With both clubs making changes to their respective squads with numerous players moving in and out, it’ll be interesting to see how this upcoming match pans out.
However, taking into account how the campaign has panned out so far for the two teams and considering what Merson had to say about the game, it’s safe to say that anything other than an away win would surprise a lot of football supporters across the country.
