A League One manager reckons his luck is in, after he landed a talented young player from Manchester City.
Manchester City have sold a handful of players so far this summer, and more outgoings are now expected in the next few weeks.
The likes of Tommy Doyle, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Liam Delap, Lewis Fiorini and Sergio Gomez were early sales this summer. Centre-back Callum Doyle joined Norwich City on loan today, and it is expected that Micah Hamilton will also be departing soon on loan with Middlesbrough having struck a deal.
And then, of course, the sale of Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid should also soon be finalised.
Another player who has left City today is Mahamadou Susoho.
He has joined Peterborough United on loan for the 2024/25 season in the hope of getting some regular minutes.
Darren Ferguson ‘delighted’ to sign Mahamadou Susoho on loan from Manchester City

Mahamadou Susoho has been with City since 2017 when he joined the academy from Espanyol.
The midfielder made his first-team debut last season in the Champions League against Red Star Belgrade.
That is his one and only appearance so far, but Susoho did feature during City’s pre-season tour of the US and did well.
But there was seemingly never any real chance that he was going to be sticking around at City this season, with Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson explaining today that things had been in place even before City flew out to the States.
Ferguson also told of his delight to land a player who had plenty of interest.
He said (theposh.com): “I am delighted to get him. It was tied up a while ago, but we were just waiting on Manchester City in terms of the dates. He was either going to join us or go on tour with City and that is what he did.
“I think he is a big signing for us, he is a really good player as you would expect. We have a very good relationship with Manchester City, so there were other clubs in for him, but we met, I presented how we play and how we see him fitting in and to be fair, after that he agreed to come.”
A big season for Susoho

So Susoho will now embark on his first ever loan move and hopefully he will be able to find his feet quickly in League One, which will be a challenge.
Susoho is one of a number of seriously talented young players on the books at City at the moment.
there is potential for him to become a first-team squad player if he does well with the Posh.
He will have seen the journey James McAtee has had so far. He had two loan spells with Sheffield United and has now finally become a member of Pep’s first-team squad.
That should serve as the motivation for Susoho this season.
