Julian Alvarez has now finished the season, after featuring for Argentina in their latest game against Indonesia.
The Manchester City attacker started for the World Cup winners, which followed a substitute appearance he made against Australia last week.
Argentina won both games 2-0, which caps off the season nicely for Alvarez.

After arriving alongside Erling Haaland a the Etihad Stadium, Alvarez quickly set about making an impression coming off the bench in games for City.

He finished the campaign with a very respectable 17 goals to his name, and course ended up winning three trophies including the Champions League.
But Alvarez’s season was extra special in that he also won the World Cup in December.

Julian Alvarez has had an incredible season with Manchester City and Argentina
What a season it has been for Alvarez.
He seriously could not have hoped for it to have gone any better.
Perhaps he’d had liked a few more minutes. But having Haaland ahead of him was also going to mean him being patient.

But he still played a decent amount, and made big contributions for City. As he did for Argentina in Qatar.
Hopefully, this early success will encourage him to keep on pushing in the future.
